OPEN POSITIONS

 

DIETARY AIDE

Part-time 24 hrs/week.  8am-4pm, every other weekend, rotating holidays.  Pay scale: $15.45/hr to $16.88/hr.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Mental development and maturity normally attained through the completion of two (2) years of high school.  Ability to read, write in English and follow oral direction.  Good moral character, good physical condition, high degree of personal cleanliness and hygiene.  Willingness to cooperate with supervisor, fellow employees and department heads.  Institutional food service experience desirable but not necessary.

RESPONSIBILITIES:   Performs routine duties in the preparation and service of food for residents according to established policies and procedures.

RN SUPERVISOR/ADON

QUALIFICATIONS:  The ADON must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, and have either: an Associate Degree in Nursing, a Diploma from a three year program in Nursing, or a Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing and, possess a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Hampshire.  Must be able to read and write in English.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  The ADON is responsible for providing professional nursing care to the residents of the Coos County Nursing Home. The ADON will help supervise the activities of the Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Nursing Assistants, students and other members of the health team who provide care to the patients on the units.  The ADON will follow established policies and procedures of the facility, collaborate with the Supervisors/Clinical Coordinators in their management of the nursing units, and assumes responsibilities in their absence.  The ADON will assist the Director of Nursing in the responsibilities and leadership of the Nursing Department to ensure that its philosophy, goals and objectives are fulfilled.

In this program, you will be hired as a Unit Aide, have your full tuition paid, and be paid for your classroom and clinical hours. We have computer stations available for you to have a quiet place to study. Our experienced and friendly nursing staff want to help you be successful in your program and in your career... volunteer tutors are available! Our new "classroom to career" transition program will allow you to feel confident and supported in your new role! 

We offer a similar opportunity for LNAs with two years experience who would like to receive their Medication Nursing Assistant License (MNA)... full tuition and paid classroom hours for qualified applicants! Are you an LNA interested in becoming a nurse?

Registered Nurse (RN)

Full and Part-Time positions on all shifts: 7am - 3pm Shift; 3pm - 11pm Shift; and 11pm - 7am Shift.  Pay Scale $33.99/hr to $44.34/hr.

QUALIFICATIONS:  The Registered Nurse must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, and have either:  An Associate of Arts Degree in Nursing, A Diploma from a three year program in Nursing, or A Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing and Possess a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Hampshire.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing professional nursing care to the residents of the Coos County Nursing Home. The Registered Nurse supervises the activities of Licensed Practical Nurses, Nursing Assistants, students and other members of the health team who provide care to the patients on the units.  The professional nurse follows established policies and procedures of the facility collaborates with the Supervisor in the management of the nursing unit to which she is assigned, and assumes these responsibilities in the absence of the Supervisor.

 

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Full and Part-Time positions on all shifts: 7am - 3pm Shift; 3pm - 11pm Shift; and 11pm - 7am Shift.  Pay Scale $26.27/hr to $34.28/hr.

QUALIFICATIONS:  The Licensed Practical Nurse must be a graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing and have a current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of New Hampshire.  The Licensed Practical Nurse must demonstrate initiative, integrity and communication skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  The Licensed Practical Nurse provides the residents of the Coos County Nursing Home with individualized nursing care under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse and in accordance with the philosophy and standards of the Nursing Department.  The Licensed Practical Nurse has the delegated responsibility of planning the resident's care and assuring that it is implemented.  The Licensed Practical Nurse is required to advise her Clinical Coordinator/Supervisor of action taken when deemed necessary.  Must inform superiors of non-routine situations.  As assigned, the Licensed Practical Nurse is required to administer medications and treatments.

 

Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA)

Full and Part-Time positions on all shifts: 7am - 3pm Shift; 3pm - 11pm Shift; and 11pm - 7am Shift.  Pay Scale $18.03/hr to $23.54/hr.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to communicate effectively.  A high school diploma or the equivalency thereof is preferred.  Must possess the desire to progress in knowledge.  The Nursing Assistant must complete the necessary requirements for licensure and renewal as required by the New Hampshire State Board of Nursing.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  The Nursing Assistant, under the direction of a Clinical Coordinator/Supervisor, or Charge Nurse, performs various duties assisting in the care of residents in accordance with the established methods, procedures and policies of the Coos County Nursing Home.
