What can I bring if I have to self report or bring someone to the correctional facility?

Whether you are checking in for the weekend or self-reporting to serve a longer sentence, you need to be aware of what you may and may not bring.

The following items are allowed:

  • Non-narcotic prescriptions in their original container
  • Government issued Identification such as a driver's license or military ID
  • Keys to your vehicle
  • Sentencing paperwork
  • Cell phone (which will be held in the property room)
  • Wedding band
  • Doctor ordered medical equipment accompanied by a doctor's order
  • Cash - Any money brought in will be deposited into an account bearing your name and can be used to make phone calls.  This money can be held in your account until you are completely done serving time or returned to you each time you leave the facility.  Any remaining money in the account will be returned to you upon the completion of your sentence.  It is not necessary to bring a lot of cash with you.

The following items are not allowed:

  • Jewelry with the exception of a wedding band and one religious medal or medallion
  • Weapons of ANY kind
  • Illegal drugs of ANY kind
  • Lighters or ANY type of tobacco product.  If these items are found on your person they will not be stored, but simply thrown away.
